Preservation of Mt. Elgon Ecosystem

Mount Elgon is an ancient volcano shared by Uganda and Kenya, with unique montane and forest ecosystems. This project supports preservation and restoration work around the Ugandan slopes: native species planting, erosion control, and collaboration with local communities to reduce pressure on the forest.

Partners focus on long-term stewardship so wildlife corridors and water sources stay intact while livelihoods improve through sustainable practices.
