Swahili Coast Mangrove Restoration

Mangroves stabilize shorelines, filter runoff, and nurture juvenile fish. Along the Swahili Coast, degradation from harvesting and development makes replanting and protection urgent.

This initiative works with coastal communities to replant appropriate species, enforce sensible use zones where agreed, and track survival so restored stands mature into functioning forests.
